Your divine nature does not exclude your humanness and your aliveness.
You are divine the second you learn to be more human and therefore more alive. When we fully live, we fulfill our purpose here on Earth. When we are alive, we live from the heart and that's the seat of our divinity.
You cannot fully be human without fully be divine & you cannot be fully divine without being fully human.
What does it mean to be human? To surrender to the present moment with all your senses and all your being. So I ask of you how is that not divine?
What does it mean to be alive? It means feeling everything, being everything, not denying any emotions and any experience.
Cry if you feel like crying. Laugh if you feel like laughing. Scream if you feel like screaming. Move if you feel like moving. Stay if you feel like staying. What does your heart whisper to you? What does the blood that's boiling in your veins tell you? What does poetry and painting tell you? To be fully alive. To be. There is no right way or wrong way to be alive because there is no right way or wrong way to be human.
You don't need to follow a path that's been trodden, you don't need rules, instructions and guidelines on how to be human and divine. One does not exclude the other.
Divinity does not exclude humanity. They include each other.
The second that you learn to smell the flowers, the second you learn to watch the birds fly and to pay attention to the things that never mattered to you this is the second that you learn to be alive. From my personal experience, I can say that I have never truly allowed myself to flow, I always had an aspect in me that kept me in check, controlled me to determine me to do the "right" thing. A right thing that was outside of me, and that meant some external standards of goodness and rightness that I could never seem to reach.
So this hypercontrolling aspect in me never let me live in accordance with what was right for me. It controlled every small aspect of my life, from the way I spoke, to the way I dressed, to the way I walked. Everything about me was under the microscope of this apparently ruthless controlling overbearing and hypercritical aspect in me. It was my internalized mother. But I didn't know that until quite recently, when I was doing my shadow íntegration. I'm telling you this because it ties into why I never felt fully alive and why I felt like my divine nature was opposite to my human nature until I came to the epiphany that they are complementary, they are serving our higher purpose of expansion and learning here in this 3d plane.
This dawned on me during my shadow work practice when I integrated the aspect in me that wanted me to live a certain way and the part in me that simply wanted to flow with life, simply wanted to live inspired and spontaneous. I realized that both aspects wanted the same thing for me, they wanted me to be happy and fulfilled, they just went about it in different seemingly opposing ways. What I realized I was doing was to integrate my divinity with my humanity. The second this happened they were not contradicting anymore and not excluding each other anymore, but like the yin and yang, they started working together.
Your aliveness and your joy come from being human and from involving all your senses into your being here on Earth. You are poetry. Everything about you. Accepting and embracing how perfectly imperfect your humanity is sets you free and THAT is divine. Your flaws, your fears, your shame, your mistakes, your limitations they all mix and mingle together perfectly and in harmony to give life to this miracle that you are right now in this moment. It takes a lot of bravery to be human. It takes a lot of bravery to be here and now in this moment, fully in your body, fully in your life. You don't have to change, to be better, to be more, to be stronger, to be successful, to prove worthy or to be anything other than what you are in order to be divine and alive.
There is not a right way or a wrong way to be because you can't fail at life. You can only decide to live an authentic life or continue to live through coping and defense mechanisms. That's it. However I can tell you that one cannot feel alive and divine unless one becomes authentic and chases their authentic nature by committing to being more and more self aware. It is not an easy or comfortable process because we have disowned and denied our authenticity in order to be accepted by our society. So recovering &undoing the programming that's like a layer covering and hiding our authenticity is going to hurt. Your aliveness depends on how aware and authentic you are. Your happiness depends on the degree to which you decide and consciously choose to go in the direction of what feels right for you as an individual.
As a specie, we have for the most part forgotten how to be human. We have forgotten how to feel and how to be in our bodies, in the present moment and in the world at large. We honour our divinity by honoring our humanity. So in order to begin to be more human, more divine and more alive, I have a suggestion for you: start asking yourself these questions: What makes me a human being? What makes me feel alive? What is divine about me? Ask these questions and see what shows up for you. The answer is going to differ for everyone and that's the beauty of it. We want that. Because we are all different and unique and we want to celebrate the differences as well as the similarities. We want to feel alive. So we need to slowly start allowing ourselves to feel all emotions, not just the ones that are socially acceptable. We need to slowly start giving ourselves the permission to understand and explore all of the thoughts, emotions & sensations that we have denied all of our lives. Taking ownership of what we feel, no matter the flavor, is what will make us feel more and more alive, hence we will start tapping into our divine nature more and more. Let yourself be human. Let yourself be alive. Let yourself be divine.
