It is meant to make you soft enough to surrender and comeback to your Self.
Pain is not here to teach you that the Universe wants to punish you. Pain is here to teach you what you desire. You're not supposed to become cynical, hopeless, building walls to keep love out. Pain is here to make you shed your skin layer by layer until you're nothing more than a naked existence, an open wound that feels even the faintest breath of wind. Yes, that's how the light gets in. Thats how love gets in. Not through layers of thick skin and defense, not through eyes closed. But through your wound. So let’s live with our eyes wide open, with our wounds exposed. Because we don't need laws, commandments, morality to tell us not to harm the other. We only need to love to see there is NO other.
Pain and passion speak the same language of intensity. The only difference is one is meant to show you what you don't want and the other one what you truly want
What kind of a life is that without passion? Without a throbbing heart, vulnerability, without feeling your blood rushing through your veins? Why do we play it safe, why do we choose the lukewarm love like sane men do? What kind of a life is this where everything is safe and predictable and at hand? It's a life where you arrive safe at death. Because the one who dares to love the most is the one who lives the most. It doesn't take so much courage to change the world as it does to change YOUR world. The bravest one is the fearful one who decides to love again and again after each pain until Oneness is attained and enlightenment is reached.
You're not supposed to NOT be afraid of pain. It is perfectly OK if you are.
It's ok to be afraid AND choose love at the same time. It's not about overcoming your fear, it's about taking this fear with you in this war, where it will feel like the whole world fights to make you feel weak for loving so much. We are all afraid. All of us. We're shit scared that our hearts will be shattered everytime we enter into a new relationship, meet a new person that resonates with what our hearts have been looking for. Our knees tremble and our hands clench into a fist. But true warriors are afraid too. Everytime they fall to their knees, they get up once more. And once more. They CHOOSE to stand up and fight. We’re all warriors because we all bleed and because there is nothing in this world making us feel more alive than LOVE.
